Do you guys remember the Dodgeball tournament that was posted here a few weeks ago? MEEP, TE, and some other guilds played in the tournament hosted by Wee Free Men. Even Alex Weekes posted in the Dodgeball thread at guild-hall.net.
In Dodgeball, the skills were: Lightning Orb, Ele Attunement and Air Attunement for energy, and Windborne Speed--a projectile, a run spell, and the energy, 4/8 skills used. In full superior-runed armor, a single lightning orb killed you. The only way to live was to 'dodge' it.
....
In the Dragon Arena, you get 3 skills: a projectile that kills in out hit, a touch skill that takes away ½ the enemy's life, and a run skill. Hmmmmmm.
Btw, no joke guys: playing in the dragon arena not only gives you those 3 skills, but also FIVE RESSURECTION SIGNETS. XD The game is played in the precise same arena as the Dodgeball tournament--the Imperial Hall--and also with normal GvG ressing (that is, all team members res at their base every two minute mark). First team with 20 kills wins. ^^

Well maybe i was the only one to notice, or noone else is saying but read this...
Quote:
The Dragon Festival has begun, and players now are seeing a lantern-bedecked Shing Jea Monastery in a whole new light. NPC's are inviting visitors to participate in a novel form of PvP, to undertake new quests, and to try their hand at various carnival games. There are new wares in the collectors' stores, and a special event memento – a dragon mask – can be obtained from Emperor Kisu himself. You may have read some of the event details a few days ago. But that was really only the tip of the rice cake as to what you will experience now, on Shing Jea Island, during The Dragon Festival. Come join us in the celebration!
|
new items from the collectors? I doubt they are talking about the Red Bean Cake ang Rice wine. I looked at some collectors and saw nothing new. And notice they say Rice cake? Are there going to be more things to get besides the 2 we already know about? Maybe i am reading too much into it, but if anyone has any info plz keep us updated.

Orb drops
Me and my fellow guild members have been farming like everyoone else. And the orbs are not just dropping in SJ monastary their dropping everywhere in the game. I did VS mission (going for masters) and got 3 orbs.Granted the NPC's are higher LvL and u can't go alone ( which makes for less drops ) but they do drop everywhere.
P.S I will be happy to run any tryian born players to the SJ monastary for free

It is probably a good idea just to do the quests for your 250 orbs. Much faster.

I'm pretty certain that Tyrian born characters do NOT have access to the starter island in Cantha. You won't be able to run them to SJ monastary for free or for any amount of money.

Yeah I'm not sure how people miss that - pre-order early access had my tyrian gang hanging out there and getting their tengu mask before I created a Canthan. Thusfar the only thing Tyrians can't do (AFAIK) are the two new quests (initial and a subsequent one) in Kaineng City.

I posted this earlier in the thread...
For those of you who haven't done it yet...
"On accounts with both Guild Wars Factions and Guild Wars Prophecies, players may take characters back and forth between the continents of Cantha and Tyria. The first journey to a new continent must be done through a quest. After that, characters may travel quickly and easily using the Ship Travel icon on the world map.
Factions characters wishing to travel to Tyria for the first time should seek out Guardsman Chienpo in Kaineng Center and take the "Chaos in Kryta" quest.
Prophecies characters may travel to Cantha using the quest "Mhenlo's Request," which is offered by Firstwatch Sergio in Lion's Arch."
Characters coming from Tyria will need to take the following steps:
Travel to Cantha as described above.
Travel south through the Marketplace to Kaineng Docks.
Speak to Firstmate Xiang, who will transport you to Seitung Harbor.
Travel west through Saoshang Trail and Linnok Courtyard to reach Shing Jea Monastery."

Actually this is something we can really COMPLAIN about: The Faction Characters can do BOTH SoC (Signet of Capture) quests, in LA and in Keineng! OMG! they get an extra FREE SoC! The Tyrian Characters can only do the LA quest. I demand that Anet instantly gives the Tyrian Characters access to the Kaineng SoC this moment!
